Interventions in the canvas between the application of layers of pigment result in a recording of the previous states of the surface in this series of works exploring perception of relief and ambiguity. This piece uses the formality of traversing sharp folds to create the illusion of a ridged surface of parallel structures. This piece is shipped wired to be displayed in the orientation shown but is intended to be hung in any orientation.
