The unavoidable distortions and errors in attempts at communication and representation are the enduring preoccupations of Northumberland based artist Christian Dodd’s practice, which continues to evolve through explorations in a variety of media. Dodd’s work is often the result of a combination of accident and design. The resulting pieces contain ambiguities and abstractions which invite pareidolic or interpretive responses.
