Curatorial Note

Painted during my father's illness when I was caring for him, this piece describes the temporary pause in my life as I grappled with grief, loss and change. This piece is also part of my collection of blue paintings titled 'Blaue Blume', an eight year project where I studied all the blue flowers that can be found across the globe in my attempt to re-ignite and evolve the 18th Century Romantic Movement.
