Irfan Ajvazi

Irfan Ajvazi (born 2001 in Pristina, Kosovo) is a Kosovan visual artist, figurative painter, curator, and designer currently based in Weingarten (near Ravensburg/Stuttgart area), Germany. 

He is known for intimate, emotionally charged paintings and drawings that focus on everyday moments, light, atmosphere, closeness, desire, vulnerability, and the quiet beauty of ordinary scenes (interiors, exteriors, still lifes, landscapes, figures, and urban views). His work often draws from autobiography, personal photographs, film stills, and art-historical references, blending representation with subtle abstraction. Key influences include Richard Diebenkorn, Wayne Thiebaud, Fairfield Porter, Alex Katz, Giorgio Morandi, Edward Hopper, Vermeer, and others. He also creates detailed colored-pencil drawings, works in acrylic/oil/charcoal/pastel, and has experience as a photographer, illustrator, and collagist.
